Ain't i not innocent ?

It was always dark as an eclipsed night
Bcos my eyes were closed to sense the light
I never felt lazy although it was warm and cozy .
It was quite inside

My tiny hands and legs were still very delicate
Neither did i drink nor i ate
For every thing i needed was available through a pipe

As i rolled , i could hear the noises outside
I moved my legs and hands with fright
I could feel the touch of a hand now and then
But i know i was well protected inside my den!

This was my world,untill 9 months passed by
when one day,i heard loud cries
I was been pushed away from my den!
Untill i saw a strong light ,
for which i cried with my whole might
They cut the pipe
I was cold and moist
untill an angel held me in her arms!
She smiled at me and gave me a kiss
As if this was her utmost wish!

Water Water ...Come let's play!!

There is a fountain there where kids love to get wet . Its a nice time pass to see these kids playing in the water . The above fellow in the photo was trying to control the water's flow like how we have in the showers 'Coarse' , 'Fine' ,'Normal' . And there was this fellow who was such a cutie pie , it was really fun to watch him play in the water . In between when the fountains stopped , he was busy peeping inside the hole as if he was telling "Hallooooooooo,where did you go ? Come back " .. Check this photo which was taken by my friend Manju !
There were kids all over the place ,some waiting to go ( Like these two kids ) and play in the fountain ,some a bit scared to go and some toddlers who were enjoying their fellow mates play!

People of all ages were enjoying these kids playing in water !!

A Random Thought

Air condition , Push back Chairs , 5 figure salary per month , Bonus , Onsite opportunity ,8 hours a day, no risk involved and we are still not satisfied ?

What happens when ....

you have a busy day at office...

1 .You don't have time to write a blog and you end up writing such a lousy blog which no one would bother to read it !!!

2. You don't find time to browse .

3. You forget to eat the Apple in the bag which you had bought for lunch. !

4. You don't have time to listen to mp3's !

5. End of the day you are totally tired !!!

Saturday Morning : Pongal Celebrations at home with my owner

Pongal was very tasty, that was the breakfast for the day, although making 'Pongal was not so fast and Breakfast was very late :)

My Contribution towards Pongal celebrations:

The above is supposed to be a Rangoli/'Kollam' (in tamil) :) . Initially tried with Maida powder then finally surrendered to making it with the chalk. Didn't have the coloured powders so added the rose petals and the yellow flowers (I don't know the name of the flower).

Saturday Afternoon : Suntec City

No no , i am not trying to proove that i went to Suntec City Mall . The Logo was cute so i clicked a picture :)

There is an Aaquarium with lot of small colorful fishes,this yellow fish stood out in all the other fishes.

Saturday Evening : NTU , An evening with a blogger !! :)

Blogger : A blogger is a person who blogs ( Obviously !!! ) .

This sort of pathways are there in whole of the NTU campus ,Looks really nice . The campus is really quite and calm. A perfect studying environment (a perfect sleeping environment too :D ).

The whole tap was shinning in the sunlight after so many days of rains .

Lot of candy stalls everywhere !!! Colorful Candies in different shapes and sizes.

Some More Lessons of Life (At office )

O F F I C E - Most of the 86400 seconds in a day (except weekends and public Holidays) is spent here amidst the cubicles, Outlook, Manager, TL, Escalations, Appreciation, coffee breaks, Lunch time ,evening tea.

I remember my first salary ,was so excited to have it in my hand.Spent every single penny of that on buying gifts for mom, dad, sister and cousin brother ..one of the happiest moments ! That day and the day today, things have changed a lot. Met many kind people in the course of work ,some were inspiring some were just a 'pain in the neck' , made some great friends ,learnt lot of programming stuff in the office itself (rather than in college) , some challenges faced ,some difficult situations faced , some worth admiring ....

Some of Life's Little lessons i learnt At office ...

1. Some people in office are there just to make your life 'Hell' ,you have to just bear them .

2. Maskafication ( "The process of letting your manager know that you are a genius!" ) sometimes helps !!

3. There are people who are always trying to pull you down, you got to swim against the tide . (If you have seen the movie 'Finding Nemo' ,there is a very good example in that, There are a set of fishes who are caught in the Fisherman's net are being pulled up, meantime the hero of the movie 'Nemo' ( a small fish) comes and tells them to swim dowwards. All the fishes do that and finally the rope which was carrying the Net breaks and all the fishes are free again. )

4. Sincerity and Hardworking people are words often good only for quoting ,work well done without much of a loss to the company resources is what is much appreciated.

5. Customer Satisfaction is more important than Employee Satisfaction.

6. People who join later than you get salary grater than/equal to your salary . ( That's when we decide to leave the company or demand for more salary ;o) )

7. Until you go onsite ,you think the people who are onsite are really 'great' people . ( I used to always think so !!! )

8. Pound is greater than Dollar. (Converting Pound/Dollars into Rupees every time you buy something is injurious to health )

Little Life ...

Such a big life and ''Little Life Lessons......''

A cute little book of small stories with a moral.

Kids are like a mould of clay ,you mould them in any way and they take the shape .They are so quick to grab things. Yesterday i was having a conversation with my small cousin..

She: "You can go to Australia" .I have gone there.

Me:"Okay,I haven'g gone to Australia but i have gone to London".

She:*she comes near me and whispers in my ears* London ,Bomb !!!

Somewhere in her mind its London=Bomb ..So she gives me a hint saying going to London is dangerous because there might be a bomb blast . A bomb blast which would have resulted in loss of life .So its a little life lesson for her !!

Life teaches us a lot of things ,good or bad ,they are a lesson for us .Its upto us how we make use of the lessons learnt !!

Some of the lessons which i have learnt..

1. Home is the best place on earth wherever you go in this world.

2. Having few good friends is better than having so many friends some of them who don't even remember you unless they have work.

3. Some people are always there for you ,but there are some others who come and go .

4. More the money more are your needs,its never enough.

5. Be good and do good

Weekend ...Rains...Ginger Tea ...

It rained cats and dogs for two days in Singapore .House arrest !
Spent lot of time near the window looking at these big lorrys carrying set of cars. I love standing near the open window to watch the those fat droplets of rain falling from the cloudy sky .Pitied the little birds flattering their wings in the rain water , searching for a dry place !

Read 'Amar Chitra Katha' comics and Jataka Tales (All those fox, lion,elephant, crow, king queen stories with moral at the end ) .Everytime i was with a comic my cousin would come and sit next to me and wait for me to tell her the story . I did tell her some stories which were badly translated by me in kannada .

The main attraction of the day was the much awaited Black Forest Cake about which i mentioned in my previous post . [ Shub , the photo is posted specially for you ;o) ]

Sunday it rained non-stop the whole day . Cold wind was also blowing ,wanted to drink something hot ,what best than a nice hot cup of Ginger Tea . Cut the Ginger ,smash it a little , put in the water to boil. Once the aroma of Ginger has travelled from kitchen to the cozy sofa you are sitting , its time to add tea powder,milk and sugar .Give it one more boil and your tea is ready ! With the hot cup of Ginger tea in my hand i sat on an Easy chair and watched a time pass Tamil movie on Vasantham Central (Local Channel in Singapore) .
Checked mail more than twice a day ,did a painting with my cousin and kept telling "Its still hasn't stopped raining" at least 5-6 times a day. Clicked some photos inside the house and outside of the wet roads and weeping sky :( !!!!

Incidents after starting to write the blog

1. One person mailed me after he was searching the reciepe for upmain Google and came across my blog.He mailed me asking the detailed recipe of uppma !!!!

2. Joined Flickr group(http://www.flickr.com/photos/klickd/) while i was blog hopping,made friends in the Flickr BSB group.

Coincidentaly my aunt has got a "Black Forest Cake" yesterday ..which we will eat today !!! (Maybe i will post a photo of the cake also ) . There i go again with the mention of food :) !!!

How i reached office today

7:20 A.M: Two 969 buses - one behind the other -one a normal bus and the other 'Jantiwaahana' (a long bus -a horizontal double Decker) ...I take the 'Jantiwahana'..
Sit in one of those front seats which are usually vacant because of the way they are positioned ,They face the whole crowd of the bus ..Its like everyone is seeing only at you !
Then i take out my mp3 players, untangle the tangled ear phones, stuff the ear phone in my ears..and the song plays "Dil to Pagal hai..Dil deewana hai" ...
Now i have one look at the whole Bus ..Most of them have ear phones stuffed into their ears (Like me :>)..and most of them seemed to be meditating ..i mean sleeping ..compensating for the loss of sleep !! Nice fun seeing so many people sleep.. (Good,otherwise i would have so many pairs of eyes looking at me ..Its weird!) .

Now i scan the bus for any out of ordinary things...Right in front of me is a Tamilian guy,pretends not to be looking at me ..Next to him is a Chinese guy with 'Volkswagen ' T-shirt. Behind them is Blue shirt guy with his eyes closes and he is constantly spinning (3-4 RPM,Rotaions Per Minute) ( I have no idea what was he up to ..Looked like he was dreaming of becoming a rock star ..heeeee heeee). (Song playing :Sapne mein milti hai ,Movie:Satya) .Then on the right hand side there is a school girl looking inside her bag and adjusting her hair, getting some strands of her hair on the forehead (????????? Wondering... She had a mirror inside her bag ). Next to that girl was chubby Chinese guy leaning on the window and sleeping !!! He looked very cute!
(Now the song playing [English translation: I sing some song which will raise desires, if you say so] Main koi aisa geeth gaon ,ki aarzoon jagaon ,agar tum kaho ! )
Left hand side was a road with two rows of cars, taxi's and in middle of this car sandwitch there are fast moving bikes . There is car with a sign "Family aboard!" .A black Merc with a fat lady hogging a Burger .A yellow color Beetle (cute car,i have seen a Pink color Beetle also).

Now the Song playing "Kaise hai yeh ruth ki jis mein phool banki dil khilen,Movie:Dil Chahta hai) . I suddenly catch the guy sitting in front of me looking at me, he looks down (he must be thinking "oh,maatikittaen!!" -i got caught). The bus reaches the interchange, I get down. Catch the train ,(Song playing :Dil Chahta Hai ,ham na rahen kabhi yaaron ke bin.... One of my fav songs) ,outside the train ,a pigeon just flew over the train, a man taking dog for a walk, a elderly man doing exercise (movements like Salman Khan dancing in 'O O Jaaane Jana ).(Song changes to Jaane kyon log pyaar karte hain).Train stops ,door opens, the empty platform is filled with people walking towards the escalator including me !!!

Tap the card at the ticketing machine..people queued up for the 'Comfort' bus which takes us to 'Changi Business Park" which is just a few yards away..I prefer to walk (sometimes at least ;-) ). (Song playing :Woh Ladki hai kahan ,love the dance sequence in this song) . I walk in between the queue of of people standing and cross the road.

Once to the left ,once to the right ,once on the road, once on the grass,overtaking people carying folded newspapers in theirs hands,lady carying a bun in a plastic cover, on a curvy path under the blue sky ..i walk towards 'The Signature' building ,my office , where i am going to spend the next 8 hours of my life today (out of which some i already spent for writing this blog )!!!!!

Meet Makira . Bought it over the year end sale at 'Barang Barang' (Shop's Name ). Just 4 $.
Another addition to my family of Soft Toys . There was a white color one also but liked this one better.Had been with three of my friends Manju Raghu and Kiran .The naming ceremony for the cute lil' monkey was done outside the shop itself. I am good at keeping names for others, don't know how many names do i have!.
Makira is a combination of the first two letters of my friends who were teasing this cute lil monkey ... [I am sure they are going to curse me when they come across this blog,i haven't told them yet that i posted such a blog.. * Evil Smile with Specs*]
Meaning of 'Makira' ..No idea.. So Googled for 'Makira' and it turned out to be a name of a province ..wow !!

New Year Celebrations

First working day of 2006 - Obvious question -"How did you celebrate new year ?"

Well, All these years New Year(s) i used be at home or where ever i was staying (PG -I remember last , myself and my roomate were only ones there in PG, we bought Feast -choclate cone ice cream , went to the terracce at 12 to see the fireworks,both of us wished each other and came back and slept) . This year in Singapore (No no did't do any major partying) , 10 of us had a get together at our Manager's place :oD (no no He wasn't throwing any party !!!).
Since his house was the biggest among all us ,we decided to have a get together at his place. Got some Cold Drinks , Chips ,Rasagulla . Plan was to make everyone cook instead of only ' Girls cooking ' . Menu was Channa and Chappathi, some rice and curds . Simple food . Channa was jointly prepared by myself and Manager . Chappthi's were made by rest of the crowd .And the chappathis' were in all sort of shapes you can imagine (traingle,rectangle,sqaure ,some close to circle, maps of Africa, maps continents which i don't know :) ) . There was a dance session also ,quite a strong session, the whole 6th floor was rocking !!

10 minutes to 2006 and crowd was still finishing the chappathi making ( i was busy clicking the photos of wonderful work done !!) . And then 5 minutes before 12 everyone was in the hall, now the problem being whose watch is proper (mine is always 10 minutes fast !!! ) . So i switched on the radio so as to get the countdown 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 ..........yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ...Happy New Year ..All of us wishing each other ! and my dad calls up to wish me ,i could just here 'Happy New Year ' ..i wished them too ,they were having a party at home )without me :o( ]
And then it was time for food ,after the food it was photo reviewing session on the TV . Had a good laugh on each of the photos !! There were some videos of the dance sessions too .... Heee heee heee heeee !

First New Year away from India which was so very noisy .Missed all the calls which i would have got if i was in

India. Hmmm....
