Me and Deepwali ..

Deepawali - A festival of Lights , New Dresses , Lots of sweets , Crackers , Meeting people , Pooja , Lakshmi ,Shopping , Holiday ,togetherness , family ...
As a kid this was one of my favorite festivals if you can have a so called favorite in festivals also :o) .
.
Why favorite ??...the sole reason being the hungama attached to it . the noise of the crackers ..the colorful flower pots ..sky filled with bright lights ..rockets [not the one which uses satelight launch vehicle ;o) ] ..sweets [i actually prefer the kara [spicy] ..the first and foremost ..it was holiday time ..no going to school ..
.
Childhood memories are many ..some attached to this festival of lights are ...
.
Dad used to buy crackers and then myself and my sister would divide it into two parts so that no fighting is there :o). This was one of the best times to show your boldness .. "I can burst a hydrogen bomb too " [ The green one ] ..Lighting the wick of the hydrogen bomb using a big stick and running away even before the wik has got fire ..standing there with ears closed waiting for it to burst only to realise that it never caught fire :) .. Not bursting all the crackers and keep some for later so that after everyone has finished we can burn [ Evil minds !!!! ].
.
Although mom made sweets but there something about the gift boxes which friends or relatives got with them when they came home to wish .. The boxes which were wrapped in a shinny paper had more eyes on them :) .. Choclates were appreciated and but the same 'Doodh Pedas' [A sweet made out of milk] in all the boxes was dissapointment :o) !
It brings a smile on my face to think about all this things now ... So silly of me :)
.
Happy Deepawali to everyone ..

Change...

Change is essential.
Change in the environment .
Change in the Bus Route to office..
Change in the people i meet in the Office daily
Change in the time i get up for office..
Change in my official email id ..
Change in the name of my company i work for :) !!!!!!!

But somethings remain unchanged ..and the major one being running for things and hurridly getting ready for office !!!!!

Mom : 'Vidya ......where is your tiffin box"

Dad : 'Why don't you iron your clothes in the evening itself !!!!"

:o)
